cgiwhi - assuming you weren't a party to the negotiations, you are taking the word of the company at face value..
again, i've never seen a bank walk away leaving vaue on the table as a favour to shareholders in a company that they have no relationship with or responsibility for.. i'm not going to suggest anything underhanded occurred, so i will stick with the logical conclusion that the bank (after doing their own due diligence) decided that the assets were not worth more than (approx) $25m they (i assume) received as settlement
Macleod - i know the banks are out of the picture now, all i'm saying is that you cannot look at this situation assuming because TPG was willing to put in money that all is rosy.. the banks walked away for a reason, and in all likelihood it wasn't a reason that will bring joy to shareholders
