Yep I'm with you on the TD/TU metoo. The intent of these (as per Hotcopper) are to give someone kudos for an intelligent/meaningful post, regardless of the sentiment expressed.

I will TU a post that is contrary to my own opinion if it is a good post. Likewise I will TD a post if it matches my own opinion but content wise is a steaming pile of excrement (such as screenshotting which brokers trades have been done through).
