The Sydney Airport probable announcement explanation is flimsy at best. How much work will it actually lead to for Leighton? I heard estimates of around $3.5 billion which in the context of Leighton's already big order book is not exactly gargatuan. It doesn't justify such a big move in 2 days.

I am surprised noone has mentioned this but does anyone think that a rumour of the Spanish company taking over Lei may have gone around trading desks?

I don't think I have seen such a wide impulse move in LEI in a long time. Have to go back to 13/2/2013 to find such a move, when it announced its 2012 results. At least that had a known trigger (i.e. the financial results), this doesn't.

Lightened too early thinking surely this cannot crack $20 but lo and behold, it did. Thought I was only leaving crumbs for the bots but it seems more like I left the main course lol!

Not only that, managed to get up all the way to $21! Had to stay away from the computer to avoid getting tempted to ditch all of it in case there is further upside. Voices in my head "Yep the 60c dividend is good, but doesn't beat an $1 capital gain."

Well done to the holders and those who stood firm against the serial enheartened bashers and brokers.
