I'll bet if the consolidation occurs, that you'll see the share price continue to drop again until it's back where it started from. Until they get their sh1t together as a company, and until they are viewed as something other than a dead horse propped up by balsa wood sticks :), I think consolidating is just an effective way for shareholders to continue to lose money. Just an opinion.
