In general your broker/clearer/whatever needs SETTLED stock.
ie, last SAFE day would have been Monday to buy (as stock settles thurs, offer closes 7pm thurs)
Depending on broker, they'll prob tell you they'll endeavor to do it on a "best effort basis" if you miss monday.
