Coca-Cola Amatil Limited (ASX:CCL) has reported a bottom line net profit of $79.9 million for the 2013 calendar year. The result represents a decrease 82.5 per cent.
Write downs in the value of SPC Ardmona and other brand names by $317 million and impairments of $87.3 million in inventory and property, plant and equipment all weighed on the result. The profit figure is the weakest in nearly twenty years.
The company says it expects the carbonated beverage market to stay weak in H2 as consumer confidence remains low.
