ABV claims that operators can save upto $15000 a year on

brake maintenance ,probably for operators in the blue

mountains!

City Of Swan reported a cost of $38000 for 5 yr brake

maintenance expense , ie, $7600 ave/yr

Assuming , 5 yr life on waste truck then

Conventional Brakes System

Cost $10000 ( guestimating)
Maintenance $38000
Total $48000

SIBS Brakes

Cost $30000
Maintenance $17500 ($3500/yr )
Total $47500

Line ball decision for operators,which,I guess that's

the reason for the shift in marketing(coming from abv

management) the main selling point from cost saving

to environment issues, ie noise and dust

Question -Has management overestimated the market and

thus price.

Evidence is very low volume sales realised

I'm still holding and hoping but we need a major shift

in public awareness of the noise and dust issues , more

so the latter , since we cant expect cost savings to

drive sales.

My opinion only
