I know you didn't want a reply dott but I just wanted to respond to the following...

The user panel took away the turbine and tested it under their normal training regimes.
They are targeting cycling first, which is a sport where they breathe through the nose. Of course using a turbine doesn't mean you can't also breathe through your mouth at certain points but when it comes to endurance sports, breathing through the nose has many benefits (and good athletes know this).
I think I read somewhere that the reason the Kenyons continue to win marathons is because they only breathe through the nose (as well as other reasons no doubt). If you're talking sprinters, then yes some don't breathe at all in their events.
