I've spent hours getting my head around RGS and Im really excited about it all.

The challenge in the 4 hour timeslot for MLA is that either the dog wakes up (ad interim) or stays under anaesthetic (risk/time under GA/nurse time/surgical table time & cost). Thus scheduling a number of operations at the same time has it's challenges.

I'm told RGS can schedule many more, given that it is just an injection.

IMO the convenience of the injection will knock off MLA in the US. However RGS needs to be registered with the FDA (time and cost in trials etc - use of funds). Once this registration happens to either RGS (or someone else) - then MLA may have a limit life IMO.


A company called VetStem in the US, and also Renovocyte are also players who are aiming at this US vet market.
