Rio wants their 22c per share or any superior offer if it emerges.
I think they move they done is smart by Rio, as they don't care about IVA. They just want to sell it for the last 12 months that went nowhere as there were no buyers.
Now handing 14.9% of the company to a intended buyer for 22c but adding a clause "subject to a superior offers".
Forces other players such as OZL if they were ever interested in IVA (as an example) to launch a counter-bid.
If no offers come on the table. They will take the 22c.
Simple as that.
I'm lucky I got at 16c, so I'm in a profit with this takeover offer. IMO, I would like a higher offer, but if there aren't any offers out there, I will take any offer than no offer.
