You make a very interesting point in your post kastin.

My chart has the Angel formation at the top of the Jurassic that is, Late Jurassic. From the Santos report as you rightly observed they went from the Late Jurassic and into the presumably Late Triassic in the depth of 107m.

In the STO release on the 18th they described the discovery as Angel formation/ Triassic Mungaroo.

Notwithstanding in Report 11 which was before the ST, the well was at 3803m when it was shut in. In this report they described, gas shows prior to the shut in (the interval that they are now calling a discovery) as being Triassic, noting that they penetrated the Triassic higher than expected!
Seems now that they think that they were still in the Late Jurassic Angel formation, and Late Triassic!
If this is the case then being optimistic, does this mean that they pretty much still have all of the Triassic/Mungaroo to go, into and below the overpressure interval at 3803m. I can see why they are keen to look deeper, just hate that mention of 'gas and water influx' in Report 11.
Would appreciate yours kastin or anyone's thoughts on COS lower down.
I guess all will be revealed in a couple of days.
