Whilst you are correct jetson , by not taking up the offer you are doing two things : 1) You diluting your own share holding , 2) You are giving Magna more control . Everyone , always remember that any rights not take up will be automatically taken up by Magna .
Whether this is a good thing or not I don't know , but I always feel funny about one entity having potentially such a large holding of up to 42%.
