traydor- I think you need to do a little research on Direct Nickel and read some of the test results that have been done on ore from KNP before making bold statements that HRR are "clutching at straws". Its Direct Nickel that is the game changer and no pig iron nickel producer will be able to compete with their technology, assuming obviously it works as expected which seems very likely as the test plant is already running with no problems so far.
I believe there still is a question mark over the construction materials of a DNi plant if you are feeding saline ore (KNP) into a DNi plant as they might need upgrading.
I believe DNi are planning on the first plant to be completed and in production in 2016.
