Peter I don't doubt the manipulation however you suggest they have total and absolute control. They can smack it around but they don't have total control of the price. In 08 SLV was $9/oz today its 27/oz. A 300% increase in 4 1/2 years. None of that price increase was driven by industrial demand. It's safe haven status drove demand and consequently price. While market manipulation plays a part in price the more effective mover is market sentiment from those who see its value as a store of value.
The control of MSM propaganda is far more effective at pushing prices down than market manipulation. 99% of people think the CB's can print forever. When they realise that currency debasement is a bigger risk the demand for PM's will re-emerge and probably stronger than before because the next round of the GFC will be far more destructive and beyond the control of CB's to contain.
Their ability to manipulate will be substantially constrained and MSM propaganda will be effectively neutralised.
