gondwana closes in on parker range date

NOVEMBER 19: Western Australian explorer Gondwana Resources has begun site survey and pit design studies as it moves towards a possible early 2013 start date for mining of its Parker Range gold project in the Southern Cross Greenstone Belt.


Mine planner Minecomp has generated pit designs for each of the Centenary, Buffalo and Spring Hill gold deposits at Parker Range and Gondwana says the survey of the area around the pits will allow site layout and design of stockpiles, facilities and infrastructure.

JORC probable ore reserves for the three pits are 778,000td at 2.2g/t for 55,600oz – based on a $A1,500/oz gold price – with further exploration potential including historic waste stockpiles at Spring Hill and Buffalo
