well picked about a takeover- i thought as much also and suspected it would not be too heated , but i am worried that this may be bit lukewarm and may end with a whimper!!

given the stronger sharemarket, surely we may get another look in from somewhere - not sure if likes of ifl could step up due to perceived conflict of interest as fund manger and trustee??

i know there has been a lot of changes over past 5 years or so - at one stage they were talking of getting rid of trustees as a stand between entity between investments and the fund manager ; and then after gfc etc they decided they werent a bad idea - i know tru has diversified somewhat, but i wonder if someone can shed some light on the rules about a fund manager making a play!
