Hi There Kate
I don't mean to offend, but I've read your post a few times now and I am at a loss to understand what you are saying in the second paragraph.
I'm not a big fan of SMS-speak, even though it can be handy sometimes. I've even been guilty of using the odd code word myself on occasion, however I do find that even in this new highly abbreviated language, ya still need commas and full stops. By all means, omit every other squiggly thingy, but ya gotta have these to make your meaning clear. You know, otherwise you could set off a flame-war or something:)
I would really love to understand what you were saying in that 2nd paragraph. You peaked my interest with the "seen it way too many times now" statement, unless you left out a comma or full stop, which of course would potentially alter my interpretation entirely.
Having said this, and having re-read the post for probably the 12th time, I do notice that one of the interior words is capitalized. Now, since I'm not entirely stupid, and there being anecdotal support among my acquaintances to support this contention, I'm inclined to hazard the guess that capitalizing a non-pronoun in mid-word stream might even suggest that said non-pronoun should be preceded by a sort of pseudo full stop.
Assuming that this is in fact the case, and that I have now elicited some meaning from the 2nd paragraph, would you be so kind as to confirm my interpretation of the abbreviated language you are using? And also, I was wondering what the word convention in this language might be to incorporate a pseudo comma into the text? Forget about semi colons: I can live with using a capital in this case, even if I miss out on some classic nuance.
You help in this matter would be well regarded.
Or you could just laugh it off I guess. But I really, really would like to know what you were on about as even with my limited knowledge of SMS-speak, I can tell you've got something to say, and maybe it I need to hear it.
PS. I'm also wondering if the 2nd (assumed) sentence in that 2nd paragraph might contain an unintended double negative. Obviously, removal of said double negative could potentially change the intended meaning by approximated 180 degrees. So clarification on this point would also be greatly appreciated if you have time.
Always like to hear what traders have to say, especially if they've been around for a while.
Cheers
