I have pasted below the reference and text to a HC post by xmagx in relation to Woodside.

IMHO this rig is likely to be committed to drilling the commitment wells offshore Kenya that are now scheduled for 2nd Quarter 2006. If that is the case, and i hope it is, then it is great news for GBP which is free carried through the first two wells. It may later be used for Mauritania....

Await an announcement from GBP when they are told the good news by WPL.

    regards

"Wonder what plans WPL have for the Atwood Hunter. Possibly a replacement rig for the West Navigator as Shell have it booked later this year.

Woodside Awards Atwood Hunter Two-Year Contract
Atwood Oceanics Tuesday, August 30, 2005

The Atwood Hunter has been awarded a two-year firm contract plus two six-month options by Woodside Energy for their international operations.
The contract provides for an operating dayrate ranging from $240,000 to $245,000 and the dayrates for the option periods are to be mutually agreed six months in advance. All rig moves will be on a dayrate basis and Woodside will provide all tow vessels.

This contract will commence immediately upon the rig completing its current contract commitments with Burullus Gas Co. offshore Egypt (estimated April to May 2006).

    Cheers,
