Is it just me or is this basically an asset sale by TXN of its Eagle Ford Shales which it flagged it had been trying to sell
I mean SEA are only getting TXNs EFS assets as this deal is conditional on the Talon demerger which will be receiving all the non EFS TXN assets and TXN board
So really Talon is just going to be TXN mk2 without the EFS assets
My guess is its tax reasons that the EFS assets aren't just being straight sold as it would generate a capital gain for TXN vs this deal which puts the gain if any onto the shareholders
Only had a brief look so could be way off the mark here
