ok just so that we are clear that this is no cross stock promotion or anything like that, nor do i hold stocks in the share i am going to mention in this post. The mention of this other stock code in this ticker is just to givve some underlying guideline to the rough answer to the question that this post is titled)

ok so as we are all ware, on the 18/10/2012 9.35 am thor came out with this announcement

"A small number of soil samples have previously been collected from the target area and assayed for gold. These will also now be assayed for nickel and associated indicator minerals, following which a more detailed geochemical sampling program is scheduled."

and we still await any update with what is the go here- i understand that giving thor and the crew the benefit of doubt that they "may" be working tirelessly in obtaining offtake agreements for molyhill, but its all about being proactive in this lucrative investing community and there is no time more hot than the present to capitalise on the Nova discovery and get as much as you can from the nearology play at which we find ourselves with dundas being within close proximity at our very doorstep prior to nova even being discovered- the fact is that the investing community are hot for discoveries in and around nova at the moment as can be seen from snowkat's post in previous days showing how asx listed companies have soared on limited drilling or results - thus why i believe our board is not giving our dundas play, near enough the attention it needs to, to try and get us off this slump which is currently seeing us at near all time lows since listing on the asx and aim markets-

in comparison look at mta as a comparable stock who also have been putting out info to market about "ONLY" soil testing also like thor mining- ( please note that it is expressly stated in past correspondence, that the board were ideally looking to revisit past soil sampling to include other minerals ie nickel- copper anomolies, not exactly the time consuming process of having to drill again to get results -

note matsa resources as a comparable to thor regarding soil sampling in the region

    04/09/2012 they stated

"Reconnaissance soil sampling commenced at Symons Hill."

    18/09/2012- ( 2 weeks later)

"First pass soil sampling completed on 40% of
Symons Hill Project with the remaining 60%
in progress. Elevated Cu, Ni, Cr and Co assays indicate
possible mafic intrusive at Symons Hill.

18/10/2012 ( one month later)note same day thor released their intention to chnage their dundas gold exploration to include nickel)

"Matsa has also taken a further 418 soil samples of which 163 were infill samples within the prospective area"

    2/11/2012

"Coverage over 80% of the project area completed for a total of 664 soil samples. Assays from Regional sampling identify 3 additional Ni targets with individual
values up to 154ppm Ni. Matsa Resources is pleased to announce it has received 417 additional soil
sample assay results at Symons Hill which strongly
supports the potential for Ni - Cu mineralisation.

all can be sourced at their website, http://www.matsa.com.au/investor

as i said, looking at their timeline and ours, this is purely for information purposes and i state i do not hold a position in matsa resources nor am i looking to in teh future so mods please note i am not trying to ramp another stock on this forum. I would just clearly like to interpret proactive management that are able to understand how important the nova discovery has opened up the fraser albany belt and as a result, matsa have a board that understand that it is important to strike while the irons hot. I find it very suspicious that we announced on the 18/10/2012 ( same date as matsa resources) our intention to include nickel exploration in our soil sampling results for dundas and yet nearly a month has surpassed without any information to explain exploration update -

at the end of the day, if we are just going to sit on dundas and not do very much with it, i would love to see a motion passed that with the fraser albany region hot topic with sir's nova discovery, i would like to see an asset sale of dundas to someone with cash wanting the play to actually drill which will in turn

    a) get thor cashed up to drill the heck out of molyhill
    b) possibly purchase an asset, with " proven production or near term production potential".
    c) further drilling of spring hill and possibly looking to getting it closer to a producting mine
    d) stop all of these capital raising with simple investments and the likes which from recent calls, have proved to be a major negative from shareholders as the prevailing shareprice is proving
    e) sidenote, molyhill i believe can and should become a world class tungsten asset but the dfs which was released earlier in the year doesnt nearly quantify the upside possible there- the way i see it, the market was not impressed one little bit because the dfs did not take into account the potential that is further below where the main orebody is known to exist. IMHO the biggest downpoint of the dfs is that management did not take into account that investors and shareholders alike looks at the cold hard facts ie the IRR of return and revenue that was stipulated in the feasibility study- whereas i feel they were hopeful that investors would be sticking around and even topping up for the "POTENTIAL" mine extension that exist below where the main orebody seems to exist to significantly extend the mine life and IRR%. With enough cash in the balance I believe that Thor would then be able to forge ahead proving up a worthwhile dfs with what we all expected- lets be honest at the end of the day, where do you see asx listed resource companies put out a DFS stating a mediocre revenue base, mediocre IRR , stating that there is so much more to tested and that the main part of teh asset has yet to be tested. Just my two bits, but why bother spending big money compiling and putting out a dfs with say only 30% of the tenement's potential, hoping that by adding that the main orebody below will extend mine life and revenue. I feel thor mining would of been in a more commanding position to just use the funds spent on that mediocre dfs study to drill drill drill, extend mine life and revenue and then raise capital to produce one hell of a dfs to blow the socks of teh investing community- thats my two bits take it however way you want
