Hills Holdings has won a government contract for an Australian and international satellite communications system.

The four-year contract is to design, supply and install a global satellite network for 51 Australian embassies and Foreign Affairs offices.

STEP Electronics, part of the Hills electronics division, beat at least a dozen businesses to secure the deal.
Only last week, Hills Holdings announced hundreds of jobs would go because of a downturn for the business.
