Leighton Holdings Limited (ASX:LEI) has been awarded a $126 million engineering contract by JKC Australia LNG for work at the Icthys project in Darwin.
The contract is split into a 12 month design period and a 21 month construction period, for the delivery of an operations complex area at the site.
CEO Craig Laslett says the contract award demonstrates Leighton’s expertise in delivering construction packages in the oil and gas sector.
This is the second works contract to be delivered by Leighton at the Icthys project, constituting what Mr Laslett describes as a strong working relationship with JKC.
Leighton achieved a full year net profit of $106 million in fiscal 2012.
