ric, I'm not sure the complexity is an issue for sophisticated investors and investment funds. Rather, TXN has been in idle mode for too long -- very little progress, no growth, few trigger events, etc. -- so the big money has moved to where growth is more predictable. As another poster noted this week, RBS has apparently quietly downgraded TXN to "below investment grade", so TXN's only ongoing investment firm has been steering clients away (for now).
That said, TXN has valuable assets and -- maybe -- TXN's board and CEO got enough of a scare about their fiduciary duties at the special meeting to get out of retirement and run the business. Their plans suggest TXN will come back to life yet.
At least, I'm confident enough to have bought more shares last week.
