What about the prospect of an Independent Auckland based appliance manufacturer growing to its full potential with its unique product range placed in all major global markets and manufacturing in several more locations. What about reaping the rewards of the technology licensing, and in fact further growing the technology development, perhaps even eventually the spin off of another FPH type business, perhaps one even larger and less niche.
i am for holding, although I would concede defeat somewhere beyond 70%.
I would no more favor being swallowed by Whirlpool or Bosch than by Haier.
FPA has been a pretty amazing survivor over the decades, with innovation, adaptation and growth deeply ingrained, but perhaps the unsupportive NZ environment has finally killed it.
