I think that the present standard treatment is by means of a quinine drip which needs some medical skills to administer.
The great advantage of the ArTiMist delivery process of an under the tongue spray (sub lingual) is that there are little or no medical qualifications/skills required to administer. Also it has a long shelf life without refrigeration.
I am no medico and am quite happy to be corrected..... but to my mind these 2 aspects of the delivery make ArTiMist a no brainier and the sooner we can get it out to the children who so desperately need ArTiMist the better.
I just hope the drum gets well and truly beaten at the Malaria Conference.
