In the July 30th EMS ANN update it was noted that 14 patients had been enrolled in the past 3 weeks and that a further 24 patients were required to complete the Ghana programme and the 150 patient trial.
On the basis that it took approx 6 weeks to recruit 14 at an average of 5 per week it would take a further 5 weeks to recruit the final 24 patients. If that rate of progress is maintained the recruitment programme should be finalised early Sept and dosing/test results finalised around the end of Sept.
End of Sept would be great as it would enable the preliminary results to be ready for Bob Carrs Malaria Conference.
If that happens then no need to speculte as to the effect on the SP.
