Wheatbelt in WA continues to look very dry. I wonder how warm its been? Has the crop wilted badly? Will it pull through? VERY tough for Aussie farmers who receive zero govt subsidies unlike many of their counterparts overseas. I wonder if some will lose the lot? Its an irony how folk with mediocre skills get a job on mine in WA for say 100-130k (eg drive a dump truck) while farmers who are multi-skilled, are left to vagaries of something they have no control over... and it seldom gets a mention in the media. Food prices heading one-way.
