Yeah - it continually annoys the crap out of me that a lot of these blokes pull full-time wages from public companies, particularly small exploration companies, when they actually work very little time running the business. MQ for example is a partner in a law firm.
Check out Beacon Minerals' new directors, who have other work they can go on with when they are not working on company business, have relocated out of the Terrace back to Kal where they need to be, and have reduced their overheads massively with the MD and EC taking $50k per year as their fees, and these guys are not new to the game. In fact they have been doing it for over 40 years each.
Contrast that with say Reed Resources where the MD got a massive payrise for actually being demoted.
We really should be getting a timesheet from MQ to verify that he is earning his $160k per year - he is a lawyer after all(and that was last year - who knows what it is this year given he got a 31% payrise from the previous year and is the Chair of the Remuneration Committee).
I count 8 announcements for the year (2 statutory), 4 about the SA sale, and 2 reporting that nothing that was supposed to have progressed has progressed in PNG. We also sent him to Switzerland in November last year for a supposed roadshow - hope he had a good holiday on us because the SP has done nothing but go down ever since.
So yeah, on the face of it, a $630 investment by him seems pretty lame.
