On this topic, this is the beauty of QE3. If large enough, it will light a fire under the gold price, and loosen lending too. Mitt Romney has said he will not reappoint Bernanke as Fed Chairman if he is elected president - so there's a very good chance Big Ben will announce QE3 soon. We can only wait and see.
