i'm not concerned about the current profitability of these food businesses. it seems clear that they have been targetted for acquisition by MCX because there is scope to introduce efficiencies that will increase profit and the EV.
I assume the takeover offer for viento is a heads up of things to come. I suspect these new food companies are now on the MCX menu for full acquisition.
the fact is that MCX has been successfully rebirthed by new mgmt that seem to be pro-actively growing the business.
I was a former holder of MCX, but I don't see any point in looking back at the Bill Ireland years. He burned plenty of other peoples money, and most of his own. That's part of the stock market game.
at least MCX has a future again. there is no reason not to get behind Darren and Co as they try and claw back shareholder losses in the old MCX that are nothing to do with them.
