Julia Gillard was wise to put off the referendum on the acknowledgement of the traditional owners in the constitution as 100% of people I have spoken to are over the behaviour and antics of this group of people and I believe this would have shown up in the referendum

What has this got to do with NTM - unfortunately plenty - our polies (who in NTM's case are holding up the next phase of exploration) are petrified of the media pandering to these minority groups to get newsy stories and are allowing them to hold everyone to ransom

I would hasten to point out that when an Australian buys a piece of land they do not own the mining rights - it should be no different for anyone else
