i think with recent protests over aborginal issues, the public attitude will be more inclined to taking them less and less rellevantly, and i say that with a genuine sadness. there is an opportunity for all in this country, but it takes a good hard look at reality to realise there are bigger things to worry about than one small minorities beliefs. the opportunity should be given to work with the community and compromise in whatever way tehy can so they can all benefit fomr any proposed dredging. i am certain with the technoogy on offer and the environmental protections in place this can be achieved and the endless argument about something as cultural as a groups faith can end.... that australis was colonised by a european power is history, we cant change it, but the country is now owend by all, not just the original inhabitants, thast the basis any NT govt decision should be mad on
