Camry I have also wondered over the years of Albers "exit strategy".I have done well out of the Albers companies-Timor Sea,Natural Gas Australia,MOG,BAS and OXX through a "hold 'em and fold 'em strategy ".
With the exception of BAS where he sold a few million I don't recall him ever reducing a holding.So other than Director's fees,probably a free office,and legal fees at commercial rates he doesn't appear to have taken much out.The timing of the in specie dividend remains a mystery to me.OXX announced the result of the call and then one hour later announced the dividend.The fp shares were selling at 18c prior to the announcements so perhaps Albers thought it was necessary to give encouragement to the holders of the 4,500,000 forfeited shares to pay the 10c call to participate.
I think Albers has looked after his shareholders well through getting interesting areas and then getting large companies to spend real money while he retained a carried interest.Unfortunately we are still waiting for a commercial discovery,but that is the luck of the game.
