i originally bought into ROB because of the 7km of strike, because of the very low market cap and because they neighboured HUN, who were taken over
i did question ROB by phone, to confirm the acquisition cost (100m shares), which i considered to be very low
but then on the weekend, i discovered:
(1) ROB only have 2,000 hectares, that is, the tiny square tenament in their annnouncement. i thought they held all of the land shown in the announement
(2) HUN probably hold most of the 7km strike
(3) the HUN coal is unrelated to their takeover, having never been drilled or proven up
(4) the coal quality & recoveries in the HUN prospectus is not great (which is probably why HUN never rushed in to drill it)
(6) ROB may have 15mt tonnes of saleable coal, which is not much
