re: tastarga-current indon attitudes This word "terrorist" is a bit of a "catch all". I suppose in this case anyway, the "terrorists" in question are GAM - the Free Aceh Movement - in north Sumatra's Aceh province(once a sovereign state).
The Indonesian Government and GAM have been in peace negotiations for some time in Oslo, irrespective of what has been happening on the ground in Aceh. At the their last meeting agreement occured on a peace accord following limited concessions on self-government by the Indonesian Government. Should this agreemment be ratified at the next round of talks then GAM could quickly become yesterday's "freedom fighters"
