Have been pouring over past announcements again - looking for any clues.

Just an observation from the announcement on the 28th August.
Not sure if many noticed it. Could not find reference to it on HC. TVN stated as follows...

"TVN will shortly issue a Notice of Meeting to approve the acquisition of the Nuurst Project. Having fulfilled the technical due diligence requirements to purchase the Nuurst Project, the focus will now shift to defining a JORC reportable Coal Resource and as such, TVN will not be reporting on a hole by hole basis."

And yet as we have all seen - each hole has been reported on.

Was this change in reporting decided on in order to keep investors interested during the recent market turmoil? Or insisted on by other parties newly involved in TVN?

If the pattern of drill results is to continue - then both hole 12 and 13 should be due latest mid week - all going well. Maybe they will release those results together - similar to what happened with Holes 10 and 11 on the 7th of October?

With a General Meeting due on the 16th of November this year - with juicy option incentives to be voted on - I can't see why TVN would not want to keep shareholders informed/happy.

My take on timeline is as follows...

Hole 12 finished 16/10/2011 - due to be announced
Hole 13 due to finish/annouce sometime around 19/10/2011
Hole 14 due to finish 26/10/2011
Hole 15 and 16 due to finish 31/10/2011 (as 3rd drill rig is included by then)
Final assays completed 1 week later on 7/11/2011
    Initial JORC announced 10/11/2011

All this hinges on a few things - none the least...

    1) SGS Laboratories doesn't mysteriously close down before assays can be processed.
    2) Drilling of holes shown on map is all that is required to publish/calculate initial JORC (this I have no idea on)
    3) By Mongolian winter, they mean the one that sees maximum temps less than 0 degress C begin end of November (and as TVN seems to see it in July 1 annoucement)
    4) Drill rigs do not fail

I think the third rig is on site - not to do much work this year - maybe just to drill a hole or two in 2011 season. I think they want it there to give the drill crew a chance to test it and see if there are any bugs to sort - spares to purchase - over the winter break (why wait till the spring). It will lay idle also with the other two - ready to go at the first glimpse of spring. Not sure if this is crazy - but where else would the rig go in this coming cold season - if it is a "local" drilling crew.

TVN seems to be one very slick, hard-working little outfit - very nice consistent reporting - with an effort to be transparent to the investing public.

Just interested to see recent changes in trading with small parcels being sold today again. Can't decide - but it looks like they are trying to keep price down. Also some larger quantities appearing further up the sell stack. Though not top quality aussie coal - there is a mountain of it there and someone must be interested in it. What a start,

    Still holding and still watching.

Looking forward to name change, random announcements of new projects via EMI and of course JORC at Nuurst.

Any thought on these ramblings would be appreciated. Always need to learn more....
