re: Ann: Becoming a substantial holder in ESG... In this current fickle economic market, everything one is out to make a quick buck. Gone are the days when people hold stocks in hope that core fundamentals, great management, loyalty, shareholder interest (when saying shareholder interest, I mean not the 1 and only thing, but for shareholders to be taken into consideration and decisions made for the best possible outcome for all) will provide the pickings of a fruitful investing future. How often do you see CEO's, senior exe's,their wifes and even their dogs walk away in better financial positions than shareholders.
The ever demanding greed for money is killing everything.
When is making enough of a profit, enough really? I see in these HotCopper threads, so many posters complaining about the SP of their investments not going up. So 20-50% is not enough is it? Investing in these times is like going to the local RSL and taking a punt on the pokies.
