Not sure I agree puss, we are just 10 business days into a takeover offer and you use the phrase 'increasingly murky' plus offer a string of negatives worthy of employment as a Shell PR employee. You finish with "I'm inclined to take what I can get now", so if that is truly the case then why do you still hold?

The thing you forget is that Shell just offered to buy BOW, simple as that, and initially willing to cough up >$500M. That ain't murky! And we all know that no one puts their best offer out first. I see from a previous post you are desparate for another announcement. I doubt our directors are in a hurry to do anything except work on a bigger and better deal from either Shell or others who have expressed interest.

Sure, we'd all hate to see the price go back to a buck on a withdrawn offer, but are you telling me Shell and Santos and BG are all into buying lemons and doing us a huge favour? How many CSG takeovers to date have failed? Patience... if you have ever been involved in a takeover or dispute, you would know that the one who exercises the most patience normally ends up with the best outcome.
