bot all over this stock

I am still trying to get my head around how the ASX allows BOT trading in micro cap stocks, where liquidity is an issue and prices can be easily controlled. A BOT has been all over this stock for months now and for what purpose? Maybe I am missing something and I'd be more than happy for someone more learned than I to explain to me how the presence of BOTS helps the trading arena. Of course, the ASX takes their fees per trade which clearly helps their decision.
