It was pretty much just what I posted above. I'll do it again, since we have new info from the new holes.
The average net coal is about 100m.
7,200,000 sq metres area x 100m = 720,000,000 cubic metres of coal.
Average density of the coal is 1.47 g/cc = 1.47 tons per cubic metre.
So 720,000,000 cu m x 1.47 = approx 1 billion tons.
This is only a very rough estimate obviously but it is a ballpark figure.
This only covers gross tonnage, not JORC Resource or mineable Reserves. Up around NDH05 in particular the deposit is getting uneconomic - 37m of lignite 220m deep is not a good strip ratio.
The best of the deposit so far is around NDH01 and 02. I don't know whether it will be economic due to the poor coal quality but if it is, NDH01 and 02 are where the mine will be at this stage.
