re: News: SABMiller gears up for fresh Foster... Looks the same to me - but I have not examined it in detail.
FORS - that FGL share price has held well with the general view that a takeover will occur (if takeover rumours not around - expect share price will fall).
AGAINST - is this takeover enough candy for holders (esp: long term holders to part with their shares).
For me - it is not a compelling offer. I expect SAB will slightly increase the offer - but would appear that the price is going to be around $5 ... is that is what it is worth? well appartently now it is ... will see if anyone else makes a counter offer & we'll know. If there is not other interest - then perhaps $5 is all that we are going to get ...
