Time to revive a bit of healthy speculation about Hughenden in my opinion. Below is a list of some of the more well known companies working in the Galilee Basin, with the amount of land they hold in the basin, and their resource from that area.
N.B: For the companies that this applies to, I have omitted the resources and tenement sizes for projects outside of the Galilee basin.
** In-situ sulphur content across many of these projects sits at about 0.5%-0.8% ** In-situ CV ranges from as low as 17MJ/kg to 25MJ/kg ** In-situ ash content ranges from 12%-28% ** Seam thickness ranges from 0.5m-8m with a middle ground found at around 6m ** Wash tests on GB coal has generally brought the ash content under 10%, with the CV ranging from 25MJ/kg to 28MJ/kg
Interesting stuff isn't it! It makes you wonder why CAP is so cheap right now, even with how badly the JV has been handled!
