I've bitten my tongue long enough, this company really has deplorable PR skills.
Chris tiptoed around why CAP's share price has dropped. On top of this, the passage around the 7 minute mark was laughable! It went something along the lines of "errr we've never done this before but we'll see how we go...but we've got a great story and that's all that matters". Doesn't beg much confidence does it? And how about when he was introducing the CAP team: "...some of them are infamous..." Bad choice of words there.
Ummm, Chris/Nick/anyone?, how a bit of a strategic outlook for Hawsons? All we got was 4 dot points about why the project is going ahead. How about creating a timeline of now-2014 when production is supposed to begin? Why was so little mentioned of the coal? It's arguably our most valuable asset on paper! Could we get a seperate slide on each of the development projects (Macdougals, YG/E etc) in future to explain specifically why CAP are chasing them up? Chris talked up the JVs that were made somewhere in that preso (about half way), but convenientally forgot to mention that one of them (BMG) has fallen in a heap. Nick said in May that CAP have a team ready to commence the BFS. Why can it not commence right now? What's the wait for? We are owners of this company, and we deserve to hear from management's mouth what they believe about the court matters. This company is trading with a blind market. The majority of those out there don't have the faintest clue about what is happening with BMG, and deserve to know better. Right now the only thing on my mind is to hold for the long term and trust my instincts with the coal. Despite the complaints I've made to the board about their lack of disclosure to the market, their ability to relate with the public has not improved one bit.
No, before you start thinking, I am not considering to sell CAP in the slightest, but I really cannot comprehend why management are so stubborn about discussing the BMG matters. (/rant)
