I was not attempting to suggest that the gravity shell is not anomalous. Because yes it is.... in respect to its density but this does not mean that it contains valuble accumulations of metals.
The calculation that i posted above was included to show that filling a low density rock with good grade copper will change its density very little.
If you recall the last hole drilled, that was intended to go trough a density shell as well and it hit unaltered (no hydrothermal activity) basement rock. So this would suggest that some other characteristic of the rock resoulted in the anomaly.
The reason why i went into the subject of alteration is because mineral deposits compared to their alteration haloes are relativelly small and if we are dealing with magnetite and hematite replaced rocks (very heavy) these will produce densely anomalous rocks.
So what i interpret the situation to be is that of a IOCG system being present due to the already seen alteration with the alteration causing the density anomalies.
You might think that this is a bad thing, that the alteration is causing the density anomally but it couldent be better as this are the best circumstances that one can find himself in when looking for IOCG systems.
They need to hit that transition zone and by no means does the shell gurantee anything it just means that your in the best paddock around and in a game where uncertainty is the only certainty thats the best that you can hope for.
I have no doubght in my mind that there is economic metal there but can xtrata find it. 3 Companies drilled around Prominent Hill untill Minatour found it and they had the same technology at their disposal.
I am hopefull and bullish about the stock. Im just taking all likelyhoods into consideration.
Keep in mind there is plenty of other IOCG explorers in SA (Monax,Tasman,Pepenini,IMX,OZ,Royal.....) but the one that i felt would make me the most money (and thats what we are all here to do was Argo).
I will email you some stuff KC.
