lucky that companies can consolidate the number of shares on issue -

the last consolidation was 1 new share for every 10 old shares (but the company tossed in a "bonus issue" of shares as a sweetener) - and the new shares dropped from 30c to 1c , within a short period of time.

prior to the last consolidation, there was, from memory, a 1 for 25 consolidation, and also a one for 40 consolidation.

to put things into perspective - but about 15 years ago, the golden orb deposit was discovered (gda had the ground at marda) - and based on the initial drill results, a buy of 100 thousand shares at 15c ($15,000) would have been worth a punt. sadly, golden orb did not deliver - and after consolidations, those shares would now be about 10 shares, worth about 10c.

by the end of this year, the company will have about 1 billion shares on issue, as well as about 600 million options - - and the share price will be about half a cent
