I'm not aligned with any uni .. might get one involved at a much later date but no plans to at the moment.

I have done a lot of leg work surrouding this topic so far ... stock brokers are not interested in the vision for algo trading here in Perth ... they love the client interaction because thats where they make money. The big four banks are not interested in this sort of thing , again this side of Australia - not to mention it is a wonder how they actually manage to achive anything at all given their inherent inefficiencies. I have spoken (am speaking) with one of the IBs but nothing so far.

I have already contacted some "angel" programmes and the appetite for the unknown is not there. I know that being located in an existing financial hub would make it easier but thats exactly my point and drive ... I want it here in Perth. Thats why I have posted here ... it is near impossible to find people otherwise.

lol yes I remember a time when I was "married" to my system ... but looking back now it is a symptom of being inexperienced with Algo systems development - guarding your hard work just seems so important at the time. Through the many phases of development and many years of enthusiasm and experience it does become quite obvious what is actually important ... and no being married to the system is definitely not one of them.
