Re agents: From first impressions, it seems like a good idea to me. It MAY have been one of the initiatives to reduce costs during the restructuring.

If they're using agents and paying commission for contracts acquired, it reduces the ongoing staff expense and employs local business people to introduce the technology. It can be disastrous trying to sell a product in a culture unfamiliar to your own, this is one way to bridge that gap.

Perhaps an email is in order to request an explanation of the structure...
