Hence CYU seems to be increasingly not an independant company in its own right, but rather an extention of Chinalco. When you've got a major shareholder calling the shots, and they aren't purely profit/sp motivated, you can get situations where you get short-changed, like in the recent restructurings that Kerry Stokes and James Packer have pulled off with their Seven and Ten holdings.

There's no way to prove that opinion right or wrong until after the fact, but what do you know of Chinalco's management history, apart from words like "largest" and "world class"?
