You are correct that there is significant risk in the debt being taken on. Holding that debt for up to 3 years and not expecting a short sharp correction in copper prices in that time frame carries a lot of risk.
Remember also, you are purchasing 90ktpa of Zinc production.
I do not hold, but I think that this is a bad move, buying at the top of the market.
I looked at the presentation. I could not find any synergy benefits. If someone could, pls point them out. The reason for doing it appears to be to get big, but that is a really really bad reason to do a t/o. The presentation also does not talk the numbers of the ranges they have used for the copper price. Why not publish them? It would appear that we need to trust them that it is all OK. That is a big call.
I am trying to offer an alternate point of view. I have no "skin in the game" and I have tried to look at this without emotion.
