Same story as last night-all quiet at the OP,one of the tugs was alongside presumably unloading equipment.They usually cruise 500mtrs or so from the rig.I have decided to do dusk visits when possible as if and when there is a flare it will be more visible then.Which brings me another point,I did a google images search(ocean patriot flare)and it would appear it shoots sideways off the deck not from the top of the derrick and the tricky buggers have the rig oriented so it will be facing seaward(i think).I'm sure it would still be visible though.
